Jim has a new book out that definitely deserves to be noted on here: The Range Bucket List.
His experience in the golf world is about as extensive as you'll find. Among an uncountable number of stories, he's plucked out the best of the lot and presented them in a delightful manner. His American Triumvirate is my favorite golf book and its tone fits the story just right. This one is somewhat more breezy which, again, fits this collection of tales in just the right way. It's kind of like the masterful routings we talk about on here. It seems like the more masterful the hand, the less aware the player/reader is of the talent behind its formation. The player/reader is happily swept along without realizing how deft the hand behind it actually was.
Well, for what it is worth, that's my take on it.
Yes, he's a friend of mine, but no way would I say this on here if I didn't mean it!
