Gary D'Amato should win some kind of writing award for this "comprehensive" but no less interesting article on the history to date of Erin Hills.  Loved it.

Much of this was supposed to go in the book on Erin Hills that Gary wrote, but there wasn't enough room.

+1

At least the USGA appears to have learned their lessons about interfering in a Championship with obtuse rulings, and maybe will be content take a  back seat to the players and the course this year, instead of making it all about them.

Erin Hills has six pretty good holes on the back nine that may make a dramatic difference on Sunday.  I'll look forward to watching.

I read the entire series last night.  Very engaging and interesting story.

A lot of bad decisions by key people were made along the way.  It is pretty remarkable that a US Open will be played there in a few weeks.

Howard, here's my article for your collection, and I'll be reporting for GNN all week too starting Tuesday. http://jayflemma.com/11-year-old-erin-hills-becomes-only-the-second-modern-era-course-in-47-years-to-host-u-s-open/

Are we having any sort of meet up?
