My favorite hole on the course. The skyline feature is visible (how can it not be?
) from every angle at the bottom of the hill and of course heading up the hill.
This hole was also going to be a nominee for one of my favorite "up and over" holes that Mike Cirba started a thread on. The greensite bunkering and expanded green (as well as traditional mowing patterns) are obviously more appealing than the pre-restoration model. Add in the many trees that "actually" were growing behind this green and you get an idea IMO what the four most important elements are for a restoration.
With the caveat...also hire the right guy for your club.
Question to Chris (and please hit me up the next time in the area to play) but it looks like the swing is very clean....what the heck are you doing with such a long second shot unless this is staged?
I do realize back tee and into the wind can be rough.
