2017 MIDWEST MASHIE UPDATE

I am pleased to share that for the first time in some time,  the MIDWEST MASHIE was SNATCHED FROM TEAM EAST by a victorious TEAM WEST, LED by this Rookie Captain from the Hawkeye state!

"My pathway to victory was clear. Follow the time tested strategy of staying the f*** out of the way of the real players, try to score a couple points or at the very least, don't get crushed."  -vh
The Mashie itself is safely in a secret location, in the protective custody of The Children of the Corn deep inside of the Field of Dreams.

We had a ball. More pictures and stories to follow.  Next year, we will check the religious calendars and coordinate with the Dixie Cup!

To the GCA participants, thank you all for welcoming not only a newbie but a new state!  I felt like a regular!

I wish both our Midwest Mashie and Dixie Cup organizers would take us Jewish participants into account when deciding on the weekends for these events.


Sorry...just venting a bit.  I do appreciate all the effort that goes into putting together these great weekend gatherings and know that timings may be limited, but both events (this year) fall on the most sacred weekend of our religious year.

Evan, A sincere apology though I'm not the best apologist given that I skied on Christmas day.
