Tobacco Road Buddies Trip on YouTube

I came across a show on YouTube called "Tourist Sauce", in which four buddies finished their year of golf trips with a round at Tobacco Road.  The show is about 45 minutes long, and really a lot of fun; they seem like nice guys who were really enjoying themselves, and the views of the course are beautiful. 


There is also footage from interviews with Mike Strantz talking about the course and his philosopy; it's worth a look just to see those.


For those of you that love The Road, you'll for sure enjoy the show, and for those of you that are missing your buddy trips (as am I!), it's enjoyable as well. 


So give it a look while you shelter in place.

Just discovering NLU? Bit surprised.

This was the best episode of Tourist Sauce yet, though. Good one to get started on.

I encourage you to watch Australia, Scotland, etc. Even CA.

Strapped is fun too. Not a big fan of WWOG (yet?).

The production values and storytelling on all of the NLU offerings have gotten better and better. Amazing how quickly five guys with very few resources caught and surpassed anything similar produced by the Golf Channel. Yet another reminder of what an embarrassing flop Matt Ginella & Co had become.

I agree that this was a great episode.  But the No Laying Up crew has a great platform going in general.  I've head it criticized as a way to monetize a buddies' trip, but their platform is much more encompassing.  They have two podcasts "No Laying Up" and the "Trap Draw".  Great episode on Trap Draw this week with Michael Bamberger (golf journalist legend).  Give them a listen.
