Boy, you got that right, JakaB.  In our defense, we were posed looking straight into the sun, and our photographer was having technical problems.  After 11 rounds on 7 courses in 7 days, I am feeling very old.  As often noted, life is a bitch and then you die.  Regardless of the level of play, I just hope that there are a few more outings like the one in NM before my time is up.  You would have looked good (if not cooked) in that picture.  Observing much of the play at Black Mesa and PaaKo Ridge, I witnessed much more age than sage!

Kevin, Mike N. & Adam got to see one my Seve' shots from the right back facing hillside grass on the 17th at PK Ridge.. being short-sided, I asked Adam how high could i hit it and before his puzzled mind could reply, I lofted it about 12 ft in the air and dropped it next to the pin.. gave me time to lay down on the grass and dream while they putted out.

As for my better half, I've been trying to pin a nickname on her for 22 years and have given up, hence Ms. Sheila.

You guys forgot to mention I was the MVP of the West squad, going 4-0.

Next year I'll have to actually play for the West squad to even things up.

I've been to Banff a couple of times. Once I fell into quicksand at the base of a glacier while my brother called me an idiot and walked away. He was probably right. The next time I went,  I fell asleep on my motorcycle and almost had The Big Sleep. There's more to that story... perhaps next year.
I sure miss that place and hope I can make it next year for a safe round of golf.

 Grizzly Bear Notice
In the light of the rising frequency of human/grizzly bear conflicts, the Department of Fish and Wildlife is advising hikers, hunters, fishermen or anyone enjoying wilderness areas to take extra precautions and keep alert for bears while in the field.

The use of small, noisy bells attached to clothing is advisable so as not to startle bears that can't see your approach. Also advisable is that the outdoorsman carry a good quality pepper spray with them in case an encounter with a bear is unavoidable.

It is also wise to be watchful for fresh signs of bear activity. Outdoorsmen should recognize the difference between black bear and grizzly bear feces. Black bear feces are smaller and predominantly contain berries and vegetable material. Grizzly bear feces have little bells in them and smell like pepper.

A small group of die hards made it out for an additional 9 at Riverview, following the Monday round at Pinon.  We played in a brisk 6some.  What a blast.  And a hell of a way to cap the weekend.  Paul and Doug still had a bit left in their gas tank...
