It's amazing the difference between high humidity versus low at this time of the year. Monday and Tuesday were relatively humid after a week of nasty humidity and the course was slow and soft. Wednesday and Thursday the course has come alive as the humidity went down.
Maybe some agronomist could explain that. It seems like the grass gets fatter when humid and thinner when not.

My efforts at getting on tv failed today.

Will have to show my daughter the highlight reel as she made it into the video around the 1:50 mark.  Charlie Carr, Elliot Dowling and the crew have battled some difficult weather conditions and have the place looking and playing superb.

TV never does justice to the topography of a golf course, but it's even more "rolling" in person. Have only played there once, but I remember thanking goodness for that bridge between 14th tee and green, especially at that point in the round.

If it weren't for the likes of Merion and Pine Valley, Rolling Green would be a lot more famous than it is.  It's a helluva course and looks great on TV.

There was the above comment on the USGA. I have played Rolling Green a number of times in tournaments and my son played there often in their annual junior event, the Francis Hussey. We both like it very much.
A member told me that the Women's Open in 1976 was supposed to lead to some number of return trips for various events but that there was a falling out between the USGA and the powers that be at Rolling Green. True? False? Facts? It is great to see it potentially back in some kind of rotation.
