My dark horse, Mickelson, is leading, yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Live Jupiter, Fl, was  4 handicap, played top 100 US, top 75 World. Great memories, no longer play, 4 back surgeries. I don't miss a lot of things about golf, life is simpler with out it. I miss my 60 degree wedge shots, don't miss nasty weather, icing, back spasms. Last course I played was Augusta

Yes, 3 years without a win, same way Jack Nicklaus was a dark horse to win the 1986 Masters or Tiger to comeback and win anything.

His current predicament is nowhere near Nicklaus' in 1986!

I will say, I don't ever remember seeing him play this well...something I didn't think I could say after round 2 in too completely different sets of conditions!

Stenson

I had Shane Lowry in our Open. He led after three rounds but couldn't finish. I like Stenson's chances a little better this weekend. Either winner would be great for the greatest golf championship of all. I rather doubt anybody else has a shot on Sunday.

I was rooting for Lowry as well, since he is such a big likeable Irish lad who seems like he is coming into his own.  But failed this outing, I think he is going to be in the hunt plenty more times.

But now comes the udder big brawny lad, Andrew Johnston.  How much joy does he project just to be on the first page of leaderboard?  Even though Andrew is N.I. and Shane is from Republic, could you imagine those two bookends on a Ryder Cup pairing?  ..... or a lively bar fight.  ;D ;D :o 8)

He probably won't win (it would be awesome if he did), the breakout star of The 145th Open has been Andrew Johnston of England. It's refreshing to see a pro so obviously enjoy the moment and the experience.

And if he qualifies for the Ryder Cup, I'm switching allegiance to Team Europe.

I'm ticked because I picked Stenson for the Masters and US Open this year. I just had this gut feeling he would win one this year, yet I lost faith and didn't pick him this time around. I have to trust my gut more... >:(
