3 day weekend here in Cabo with Jim Lipe, Kurt Bowman and Paul Cowley playing CDS Ocean, Club Campestre San José and Diamante.

BTW - Congrtas to Kurt who is back in the design biz with his renovation project in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.

Bowman will cry about his back, Lipe will complain about Les Miles and Cowley will tell us all that everything is just peachy... and use 437,000 words in the process.  ;)

Hugh Wilson, Charles Macdonald, and Jeff Brauer at Merion East.

Love it.....would we play the original Barker routing instead of the "new one" by CBM?  I am sure you can find it somewhere......

This one is so easy for me, it's scary:

CBM, Whigham and Colt at Exmoor.

Multiple reasons:

#1:  I'd kick all their asses .  Aside from blowing 4 irons past their best drives, they'd all be completely lost at today's green speeds - likely 3 and 4 jacking every hole.  So, I'd get them into a scotch game and take all their money!!

#2:  I'd get to the bottom of why CBM was such a lake breeze/cold weather wuss and bailed on the Exmoor site because it was too cold in the spring, and decided to make Wheaton the second site for Chicago Golf Club.

#3:  I'd learn all about the early layout of the course from CBM and Whigham, and what CBM decided to do to Whigham's initial layout (and why).

#4:  I'd find out, as between Colt and Donald Ross, who exactly did what on the redesign (and what role Stewart Gardner played), i.e., whether my theory is correct that Colt did the routing and sketches and that Ross was the #2 man on the deal...   Hell, Colt might actually be able to tell me where the sketches are!

#5:  I'd find out how appalled they are by the cheater line and the USGA telling a grown man how he must swing a golf club.

#6:  I'd be quite curious on their thoughts on Chicago Style Pizza and Schlitz.

Shivas is alive and well, even I they aren't!

I have CBM pegged as an Old Style guy.

Old Tom Morris, Donald Ross and Stanley Thompson playing the Old Course
Thompson golf holes were created to look as if they had always been there and were always meant to be there.

Mackenzie, Colt and Ross at Sand Hills. I would be interested in their opinion and it would be fun to walk with them around the adjacent property.
