    This is an alphabetical list of private courses and expensive public courses by state that allow Trolley's.  The premise of this thread is to showcase courses that allow trolley's. I havde never seen a "trolley" at Shinnecock. Did your information come from a magazine article? I think it was mistaken.

I'm confused by the term "allow". What authority or justification would any club have for banning them - they are a fundamental part of the game.

Many, indeed very many, private clubs in the US do not allow push/pull carts.

There are probably 250 more private and high end public courses in California that allow the use of push carts.

Yep.Those first Scots stacked those clubs with no bag-right on top of that trolley.

That's nearly as provincial of a statement as an American in Myrtle Beach might say about carts.
Though I understand the need for a trolley with that chip on your shoulder.

And for the record I generally use a trolley when available or when culturally appropriate.

Hazeltine National had a whole fleet of them out when I visited last September.

I used one at White Bear Yacht Club as well.

It was a Thursday and off-season.

Same with the Valley Club of Montecito.  I've seen Freddy Couples out there pushing one. 


Push carts are ubiquitous in the Pacific Northwest.

I've been an avid golfer for over 30 years and have never used one. That would suggest they are not fundamental.
