The pecan trees are sacred at Colonial. Not only do they play a roll in how shots are played and how fairways bend around them, they are also a major topic of discussion when considering switching to an ultradwarf. A large number of pecans would have to be removed to ensure that a UD has enough sunlight in the day to thrive.
