Jim stumbled into golf more than 30 years ago, first picking up a club while attending a week-long golf school at Pinehurst. That experience turned into his first writing assignment on golf, and in less than four years he was Executive Editor of Golf Magazine. He worked there for more than 18 years, serving as Editor from 1990 until leaving in 2003.
