As on the first thread, thanks to our committee members Craig Disher and Mike Whitaker for help and ideas, and to Chris Cupit for working hard to accommodate us at Rivermont on a busy Saturday.  As always Mike Young is the Dixie Cup guru going all the way to the first at Cuscowilla in 2004.  Thanks for organizing the Standard Club and Heritage Links for us.    This is the first Atlanta Dixie Cup so we expect a big crowd.  Since we are capped at 28, it would be advisable to pull the trigger quickly.

Thanks, two Mikes and a Bill.

I may be in the general vicinity that weekend, so put me in as a possible maybe.  One caveat--I'll go to the Clemson/Ga. Tech game if and only if the Hyatt will have the Stanford/UCLA game on TV so I can watch proper football....

Interested, if I'm back from my post BUDA shenanigans.
Some days you play golf, some days you find things.

I'm not really registered, but I couldn't find a symbol for certifiable.

Bump.   Time to be thinking about your fall golf plans.   This will be the first ever Dixie Cup in Atlanta proper.

We are only about 60 days away from the Dixie Cup, so I wanted to bump this and put out a call for any GCAers who might be interested in signing up for the event.

Hope you can make it!!!

To Bob Montle:  Yes, we are finally depositing your check! Sorry for holding it so long.  :-[

Probably. Too bad the Midwest Mashie is the same weekend.  You certainly will be the top venue for college football
and BBQ, over Indianapolis. No Falcon game messing up traffic for the getaway.

Not that many miles Pete, but Atlanta has horrible traffic, delays and construction everywhere.

Assume 2.5 hours to be safe, there is no such thing in this city as a smooth quiet ride from Point A to Point B

I think you can get out there in an hour or a little more actual travel time...unless it is rush hour

If you are traveling to the airport from Alpharetta anywhere around rush-hour, your best bet is to take Marta to the NorthPoint station and Uber it from there.  If you are inclined to rent a car, I suggest renting from the Enterprise/Avis located at the Marriott in Alpharetta (isn't that were people are staying?).  You can get from the MARTA station to the hotel via Uber.

If you must rent a car from the airport, then yes, count on 2.5 hours during rush-hour, 1 1/4 hours during other times.

Thanks for all the input on travel, was trying to figure out a flight to book. I'll pass on MARTA, I've tried it with a suitcase and clubs before. Also, the drive down will begin in Tucker, so I'll take the ring road.

Registration completed, took a few tries until it opened. Football depends on kickoff and my 3:30 arrival at ATL.
Will snail mail deposit.

I see the Braves are out of town that weekend. Don't know if I should be relieved or disappointed.
Good to see our field is getting more participants.

Mike,
I will attend. Might want to leave my ticket at will-call. My flight is scheduled to land at 3:30, so that gives me 4 hours to rent a car and drive to the GT stadium. If problems arise I will incur the cost.
