A rare and precious round with my Son during a beautiful Spring day at our favorite golf course.  With my struggles to break 100 during the past season, things clicked on this day and my 86 was just 2 strokes off my age.  Afterwards, in the clubhouse for a few brews, I mentioned my round to a fellow member, friend, 13-time club champ, and past NYS champ.  His droll comment brought me back to reality.  "You've either got to get better, or get older!".

I spent many days viewing excess Bandon squalls.  Upon arrival yesterday, zero chance of rain will make trip fantastic!

My Memory of the year was hitting a 7 iron in June 30th as the sun was setting over the Straight of St. Lawrence. On the 11th hole at Cabot Cliffs.

Played my first round with John Kavanaugh’s wife, a dazzling beauty who quipped, “That name rings a Bell,” before crushing me six-and-five.

Quiet wind, sun-soaked skies, I spotted a flag mounds away. One four zero. Easy six or jaw-clenching seven? To the ground or combat the air? Decisions.

Mr. Kavanaugh, my amazing year started with an exciting journey down seventeen mile drive to Cypress, then Olympic, Fisher’s, The Country Club; I am quite blessed!

Andrew,My wife just read your submission and backed away from the computer in disgust. She took your line "I am quite blessed!" literally.  You can't make this stuff up. I explained to her it was simply an html mistake, which obliviously isn't simple at all.

The winner is:

Exquisite birdies on the first three; smiling tee to adjacent fairway; thoughts only on the virtuous prize, I shot my age the week I turned 73!

Doug Bolls, please PM me whatever you like that is sold on Amazon, not to exceed $50, along with your mailing address to collect your prize. A close second was Jim Kennedy for his succinctness. My wife's exact quote was "He must be smart". Thanks to everyone for participating.

You came closer than I cared for, my wife flunked typing so she didn't know you cheated. She has six fingers on her left hand and the teacher thought she was always shouting.

My wife and I recently traveled to Michigan and Wisconsin to play the best courses in the area. My experience at Erin Hills rendered me my first ever double eagle on the par 5 14th. Great way to end the last round of the trip!

Frankly, I'm amazed my jovial contribution would collect such accolades; pangrams are grammatically exquisite even with semi-colons integrated appropriately and giving Mrs. K a smile. :)

Thanks for a fun contest, John; and thanks to the wise Mrs. K for selecting mine!

I'll be in touch via PM.

Playing lots of rounds at Mid Pines and Pine Needles with new buddies (I was buddying up before it was GCA cool).

Sunday after Sunday, sometimes being the only person on the course late afternoon/early evening, walking up the 18th fairway at Mid Pines.
