Dr Henry L. Terrie, Jr. at Yeamans Hall would be my first call.

Send an IM here on GCA to Anthony Pioppi or Herstein here on GCA.  They are both officers of the Seth Raynor Society. Tony can send you a membership form.

Willie,
Not trying to split hairs, but the "Friends of Seth Raynor" and the "Seth Raynor Society" are two different animals-with the "Friends" group being exclusive to the YHC membership as a means of fundraising from within the club. Since suffering a severe stroke last year it is my understanding Dr. Terrie has been incapacitated. You could never hope to meet a kinder, more knowledgable, or more gentlemanly individual. He was instrumental in the membership's renewed interest in renovating and preserving their wonderful golf course after years of almost unbelievable neglect.YHC's return from near-oblivion will be his legacy.

I would like to concur with bill_k about the difference between the two.

Henri Terri was the driving force for years attempting to get the membership at YH to both understand what they have and to raise money to restoring their wonderful golf course   -  can you imagine? he was asking for $25 at a time.

HE SUCCEEDED on all counts!! Hooray for Henri!

He is not well and we all wish Henri well - all clubs should have a "Henri Terri"

As Geoffrey Childs stated the "other" SR Soc started a couple years back and will be growing by leaps and bounds.

Anyone interested should contact Tony Pioppi directly for details and I would pass on info to Tony if anyone would contact me.
If a player insists on playing his maximum power on his tee-shot, it is not the architect's intention to allow him an overly wide target to hit to but rather should be allowed this privilege of maximum power except under conditions of exceptional skill.

 Bill K&Geo:-[

Thanks for the update on Henri Terri.  We met years ago at Yeamans, 1992 I think.

George, you are correct by saying "all clubs should have such a gentleman".  Here was a person who went totally out of his way to welcome me, my mother of 90 years plus, a lover of golf (5 holes in one), and hurricane Hugo had just plowed through - depositing a big pine on the middle of his home at Yeamans - and Henri took us on a tour of the course.

I hope he is on line, for he gave much to Dartmouth as well.
His Raynor influence probably made its way north to Hanover.

Willie

Sorry, I misspoke...I'm interested in the group/organization that's interested in Seth Raynor courses; not specific to Yeaman's or any other specific course. Thanks.

Before you send off that check, have you considered the FFRS (Friends of Forrest Richardson Society)? The initiation is pricey at $750, but you get a wine and shrimp buffet, plus a personal visit to Starbucks with the architect, usually before he's dead.

Let me known if you need the address.
