Two very good holes.  13 in particular is wonderful.  At 213 yards uphill and almost always into the wind, however, I'm not sure it counts as short!

In June I will be riding the first three stages of this year's Tour de France route for charity.  630km (394 miles) in three days, with 7800m (25,600 feet) of climbing for the William Wates Memorial Trust (https://rideleloop.org/the-charity/) which supports underprivileged young people.

Nothing at Bandon qualifies as a short  uphill par three unless you forget about the tee shot on the 7th at Old Macdonald. :)  But since Bandon Dunes #2 was mentioned here's a shout out to Mike Strantz's Royal New Kent #15.

Holy crap, I don't think I've ever seen a more intimidating looking tee shot.  Are they really hitting it up on top of that?  It looks like you'd almost need a sand wedge just to get the right trajectory, though I suppose the photo probably makes that cliff look closer than it is.  I imagine there's a green up there somewhere?

I can't think of many short and significantly uphill 3s though I think LuLu's is exceptional. They are rare enough types that practically any course would be improved by its inclusion.  I like the idea of a demanding short hole which doesn't get too much wind yet offers a possibility of 4 or even a 3 if one misses the green.  Shikine's and Painswick's 10th & 5th are more examples of do or die rather than the more gentle don't and don't die LuLu version.


St George's Hill 11th is good too.

13 at Muirfield is one of the world's great par 3s and is significantly uphill.  At 156 from the daily tees I'm not sure it is short, though.

I am not sure it would be considered a drop shot hole if played in reverse. It is however definitely one of the best par 3s in existence IMO.
