I’ve been reading GCA for a while now, but this is my first post. That said, I’m pretty sure the word “quirk” appears here more than any other website, and the epitome of quirk to me is the ninth hole at Fallbrook Golf Club north of San Diego. It’s barely 100 yards, straight uphill and squeezed between a street, the cart path leaving the first tee box and maintenance sheds. I wouldn’t say it’s a good hole, but it’s not necessarily the pushover its distance would suggest. And it’s most definitely quirky. And dare I say, kinda fun?
