I had the great pleasure of playing Muskegon CC recently. I thought the course was extremely enjoyable and represents the Gems we all love and enjoy. It was originally designed by Tom Bendelow in 1908. Donald Ross came in and redesigned it in 1920. The Golf shop sells a very nice Centennial book I hope to purchase next year. I was informed that Bruce Matthews redid holes 12-16. Also 17 of the 18 greens are not Ross. The 10th Green is the only Ross green left. I'll get more confirmation later about this.

The First hole is a very good and challenging opener. It's straight away with some movement in the fairway and very nice crowned green. I think the hole is a strong opener.
