« on: August 25, 2015, 09:25:58 AM »
Delighted to see that the project in France at St Emilionnnais is to open this fall.
Congratulations to Andre and the family for getting the course finished, cannot wait to see pictures of the finished product and to get myself there to play.

I'm back over in October. What's the weather for golf that time of year?

I loved it. As good a walk as one could ever want in an idyllic setting. I mean. Great wine. Great golf. Hello!

Along the 5th fairway, looking back to the tee ...

When I visited in July they were allowing play on just 9 of the holes, with an abbreviated routing (1,2,3,4,12,13,14,17,18).

I had written Kristel Morgue D'algue in advance and asked to walk the routing, which I did, seeing all the holes except for 15 and 16 as there were a number of groups on the course by the time I got over to that part of the property and I didn't want to interfere with their games. Sure enough, after I walked off of 18 I had the opportunity to chat with Kristel and she introduced me to her brother Andre who had been playing in the group behind me. ;D

Lastly, the village of Saint Emilion is one of the best spots I've visited in my life. My family and I had an incredible time there. Very special.

I'm planning a trip to this area in the near future. The course will be open to visitors?

I read somewhere it would open in September. But with the month almost over they still only offer to play 9 holes twice on their website. Does anyone know when the second 9 will be finally opened?

I think they've been waiting for me to come over for the Grand Opening.  I'll be there this coming Thursday through Sunday [Oct. 1-4].

Thank you. Great to hear. That means a trip in early November to play St Emilionnais and Medoc sounds even better...
