Mr. Bill,
I won't be making this edition of the King's Putter. Other travel and golf conflicts.
It is possible I might make one course as a day trip.

I'm still interested and will decide mid-January after a trip to warmer locales.  I hate the deterioration of my game which was never any good to begin with.  I quit playing on some magical-thinking notion that when I got the urge again, a new golfer will appear.  That works about as well as watching instructional videos on the Golf Channel.  Love to come, but won't if I'm just a grumpy golfer.  I won't introduce my personal angst on what is the best part of wasting time on this site:  meeting like-minded golf nuts.  I went and played some resort golf in Hawaii recently and didn't care how I played.  It was fine, enjoyable.  So count me in as a probable.

You can pencil me in as a definite maybe.

I am going away at the end of March for 2 weeks and if I can talk the wife into letting me go up to Oregon to play golf 2 weeks before, I am in

Connor, we tee off in 30 days, and us old folks like to eat and drink properly, so we are counting on you.  ;D

Garland, your first drink is on me. (I never forget those things.).

See all of you in a month.  Michael

I will be proudly co-transporting THE King's Putter to Oregon.  A apropos little known fact is the golf professional at Tokatee is  DAN KING !

Both Tokatee and Emerald Valley will be celebrating their golden anniversaries. http://tokatee.com/history/ provides a short history of Tokatee, The Cascade foothills course is at 1360' elevation. The architect is Ted Robinson, I think before his waterfall period, and there are waterfalls in the area. For the adventurous, golf boards are available.

Emerald Valley is a strong championship course, and has hosted multiple US Open sectional qualifiers. A Bob Baldock design, and the current consulting architect is Dan Hixson. The owner is also involved with Wine Valley. The only course hint is to be extremely careful of the approach to the fourth green - don't over-spin and don't be long.

Somehow seems appropriate for a place called tok-atee.  :)

I intend to be in Eugene by 6, so I would love to meet for dinner.  Email me your cellphone number, just in case Ft. Lewis or Portland traffic becomes an issue.  >:(

Do you need any help with pairings or anything?

played today at Eugene...balmy winter weather

the Poa is happy

really going to be fun in 3 weeks

Jackson Kahn Design has helped fine tune many things to make the course more fun

tree removal, tree trimming, mowing patterns, new forward tees...it's all good and inexpensive
