I always wanted to attend one of these things, but that was back when I could play a wee bit.
These days, I just suck.  If the golf is the least bit serious, I shouldn’t take up space.  I’ve still got to check my schedule.  Count me interested.

Dave, as my game has deteriorated during the 12 years I've played in the GCA events, I have noticed one thing.  Nobody gives a shit how you are playing but you yourself.  Mostly it's about seeing old friends and interesting courses for some non intense match play.  And some drinking and dining.  You'll love it.

I can 2nd that one.  I've attended a handful of Kings Putters and in my experience, the company and after golf events, in many cases was better than the actual golf...especially when you have to play a round with that Garland fellow!!  :D

It’s been a bad year.  I did have the pleasure of playing with Garland and showing him around our joint.  We just chatted about the course and didn’t have a match as I recall.  But, yeah, I’m in that league as a golfer.

I also enjoyed showing Tom D around, although I played about the worst golf I’ve played in 20 years.  With all his travels for the books, he’s playing well.  Since I asked our pro to join us, I suppose my role was to demonstrate how a hack handled the same holes.

I’ve always been curious about Eugene CC.  My wife got her Masters from the U of O.  Ironically, right after leaving town, I helped my Dad build his dream course as my introduction to the game.

I remember Bogey's speech at the 2011 KP where he (seriously) celebrated the fact that he had gotten through a 36-hole day without whiffing. Good stuff!

The checks are in the mail for two more.

JL, I vividly recall a close call on the 15th tee at my beloved Bandon Trails - a Curley Neal (i.e., a dribbler).  I'm sure my partner Alex does as well as I was stroking and we were in an even match!

I'm thinking you are referring to Miller, not me. I do remember that we were in the same group at Bandon Dunes that trip, and I don't recall you hitting any Curly, Meadowlark, Goose, or Geese that round.

It was definitely Miller; he corroborated Bogey's account.

And we haven't even gotten into the sideways shots I was hitting. Anybody else approached #16 at Pacific Dunes from the second fairway? That's right, you haven't.

Not to take this off track but the point is you don't have to bring your A game to have fun, and nobody cares if you duff some shots.

I wish I could make it to this one!

Interested.  It all depends on full my dance card turns out to be for next year.
Some days you play golf, some days you find things.

I'm not really registered, but I couldn't find a symbol for certifiable.

I've seen golf balls that were more directly struck, yes.  ;)  Meanwhile I believe I ended up in a unique stance greenside on that hole myself.

As for KP 2016 it doesn't look like it's in the cards for me...  :(

Check sent, almost up to two foursomes! I have been hanging on to the Putter for two years now, it will be happy to finally get out of the house!
