In Peter Martin's book,"Adirondack Golf Courses--Past and Present", he has this to say about Tupper: "The golf course was opened in 1932 after the Tupper Lake Chamber of Commerce initiated a fund raising drive for construction. Williard G. Wilkinson, a golf architect, made the preliminary survey...........Donald Ross is also credited with the Tupper design."
I agree with Jim Kennedy's earlier post, that it would be interesting to see documentation that the Ross Society would have for their 1915 listing of Tupper Lake as one of Ross's designs. I have contacted the Ross Society, raising the question. Will post any reply that I receive.
