Mike,
Adam is correct, I saw it with mine own eyes
With the pin way back on #3 Paul H hit a low left shot that ran forever along the left side, disappeared then reappeared turning right off the backboard at the very rear of the green and ended up-what-3 or 4 feet away. It did seem like it took an hour for the ball to come to rest, and it was great to watch.
Larry,
I assume you've looked at the Course Description here on the site, which covers a couple of the holes you request, like #2. There's also a photo of #12.
You ask about two of my favourite holes at Sand Hills, 7 and 8. Both are short par 4s, with 7 driveable and 8 nearly so depending on the wind and which tees you play. The margin for error on 7 is tiny, and a miss takes you down a steep slope where you have several options--pitch, lob, putt etc., and as befits a great short par 4 these shots and the green are no bargain. A wonderful hole.
Number 8 is all about the green and the greenside bunkering. Wonderful slopes on and around the green can and should be used to great effect; the bunkers can wreak havoc if you've shortsided.
Enjoy!
