With the much anticipated opening of Cape Wickham scheduled for November 2015 I thought it might be time to get the gang back together.

Timing could be for anywhere between November 2015 - April 2016

Listed on the course's website is a package of 2 days golf, flights and accommodation for $890

http://capewickham.com.au/

If any overseas visitors are interested I could check out the suggested airlines for packages to include Barnbougle for any in the group interested. http://barnbougle.com.au/

Anyone with any suggestions please reply to the thread or DM me.

I'll try and maintain a running list. I think if we get more than a dozen interested it's on.

If it's around the holidays my family was hoping to go down around then, I'm sure I'd have no trouble convincing them to swing through! I can't make any promises on attending, but most definitely keep me posted.

Thanks Sean,
Connor

Sean,

If it's in Feb or March of 2016 I would definitely be interested... with Barnbougle a must.

I haven't seen the Warren's baby!!! Plus, I've gotten reports from Matthew Mollica on the "Whitaker Tree" in his front yard and it's time I checked in on my namesake!  ;D

Anxiously awaiting the comments of Michael Wharton Palmer who will be visiting/playing Cape Wickham rather soon.

Indeed leave two weeks from tomorrow for the three week trip.
I will certainly return with comments and pictures.

Very tempted. Late January to February probably best for me.

Well short of a critical mass so far.

At the moment we have:

Walsh
Gray
Bennett
McQueen

Timing dependant:

Moore
Whitaker
Towe

Definite maybe:

Dougherty

Sean, FWIW I genuinely suggest you push the timing back....to the 2016 end of your window, at least. At best, the course will be "young" in November 2015. Going later also gives you more chance of getting all or most of Ocean Dunes in play.

Greg,

I don't disagree but wanted to see where the numbers land before making a decision on timing.

Sean, I seem to have been forgotten in the wash!!  I am a 95% chance and more so if it is in 2016.

Cheers Colin

Sean,

I would be keen on early  2016. Less windy then.

If Whitaker is coming I could organise ten to fifteen more people.

Ask not what GolfClubAtlas can do for you; ask what you can do for GolfClubAtlas.

If Whittaker is coming, I'll donate $5 Australian to his cost.

No, Make that $20 Australian. Only for his cost to get to OZ mind you - he can go home at full cost.

Giving this its one and only bump.

Not enough interest to get it off the ground at this stage. Hopefully that changes.

Come on, guys! Let's do this!!! I want a return trip to Oz... and, Mr. Bennett's $20 (although it's only $14 American  ;) ).

Late Feb or early March works for me.  Surely we can get enough commitment to sign up Elvins' Dirty Dozen! David does remind me a bit of Lee Marvin.  ;D

You beauty - rematch with Wayne Freeman coming.  Unfortunately, I won't get quite as many shots this time.  Not unless Wayne's handicap has decreased.

You are going down this time Freeman.  I won't take three from the edge on 18 this time!

Numbers update:

Walsh
Gray
Bennett
McQueen
Freeman
Thornton (March)
Whitaker (preference for late Feb-March)
Pallier

Timing dependant:

Moore (Late Jan)
Towe (Jan)

Definite maybe:

Dougherty (Dec)
Elvins (Jan)
Delahunty (Not early Feb)

March keeps coming up as a suitable time. The other option is probably late January to get the last blush of school holidays.

Sean,

I'm interested as long as it's not in the first 2 weeks in February.  Outside of those two weeks it will be time- and work-dependent for me.

To make it work I suggest you will need a firm commitment from at least 16-20 people (half of which aren't Aussies).
