George Clooney to develop Hamptons golf community??

This is the first I've heard of this. Anyone know if this is legit and where the course would be?

Also, for those who know the area, how is it possible that the Dune Deck was bought for only $700k five years ago. Makes no sense.

Steve,

I think that's a typo.

There is a good deal of land to the North of Westhampton Beach, not far from the airport.

That's nearby in those parts.

A quality golf course near the airport would do well as Westhampton, a wonderful Seth Raynor course, is very popular and very busy.
If it wasn't in the shadow of giants, it would get far more recognition, which it deserves.
Ditto Southampton.

I agree, Westhampton is a wonderful course and extremely fun to play. It's overshadowed by it's peers (rightfully so).

The only mention of George Clooney is he's partner with this developer on a Tequilla brand.  I doubt the CEO of Discovery needs George Clooney for a land deal.

The CEO of Discovery always uses a "George Clooney" for sales & marketing/networking whilst giving them a deal. He doesn't need him to SECURE  the land he uses him to SELL the land. Smart businessman.

In my neck of the woods the DLCo development is using Andrew Magee as a sales associate and Mark Teixeira as the Clooney clone.
