7 of 10 also, interestingly two of the three I missed were courses I've played quite a bit and was perfect on the ones I hadn't seen.
odd angles on nearly all of them

Jeff,

Ur comments disprove the whole GCA theory that you can't comment on a photo of a course until you have played it.   ::) ::) ::) :o

7 out of 10.

8 of 10- was clueless on the non links courses . Sadly I have little interest in parkland style courses in Ireland as great as the links courses are. Hard to justify a game at the K club over a day at Ballybunion IMO  .

I got 10 out of 10, so it's possible.  The only one where I really had to guess was between Mount Juliet and the K Club, having been to neither, but the bunkers looked more like Jack's.

7 of 10 which is not that impressive since 5 of 10 is likely from random guessing. But then I don't know much about Irish golf courses.

I've played MT Juliet 24 years ago and still went by the "Jack bunker look" to get that one right.
I enjoyed Mt. Juliet despite not being very enthusiastic about going

Haven't been to the K Club
I missed Ballybunion question!

I got eight, but one of the two I got wrong was Fota Island, which I have visited. Not very impressive!

I missed the first two, then got 8 in a row correct.  Which is odd, because I was mostly making educated guesses.

7 out of 10 in 52 seconds.  Missed three inland pix....didn't have a clue...didn't care to search for the right answer.

9/10, missed a modern inlander. There's an 11th photo as well, one that comes up when you reach the 'Thanks for taking part' section.

10 out of 10 somehow. A couple of educated guesses for the inland ones (e.g. the river for the K Club meaning that Mount Juliet had to be the answer to another one as they weren't going to put the K Club twice) and I only got Lough Erne because that exact photo was posted on here a month or so ago, by Ally I think.

9 out of 10 and also missed the Fota Island photo, played the course 3 times in a Pro-Am. Not a single thing special about it, other than playing in combination with Old Head makes Old Head look really rather spectacular and it's proximity to Cork means you can get away from the hotel for a decent meal in town.

I do a quiz like this every year after I give a presentation to the chosen readers panel for Golf Digest Ireland.... 12 holes with 2 points for the course and a bonus point for the hole number.... No 50/50 guesswork though.

The results are woeful.

Which probably tells us a story about rankings.

10 for 10 but guessed on the last one.  Spent the summer of '99, right after graduating college, traveling around Ireland playing golf.

All I could think while going through that (7/10) was how I will never be going overseas from the US to Ireland specifically to play Mt. Juliet, Killarney, and the K Club.  I will be staying coastal next time, and every time!
So I jump ship in Hong Kong....

8/10 despite never having stepped foot in Ireland. Apparently I need to get out more.  :P

Brad,
While I generally agree, I do find Killarney Mahoney's Point magical every time.
