I guess "7 under" is easier to relate to than "on track for a 65 and 277 if he pars in."
That said, I always wonder why so many responses in golf center around the pros? Did CBM and Ross, etc. always think of course design in terms of some tournament that probably never gets played on a course?
To rephrase, do we think par 70 (or 69, 71, 92) makes golf more fun for the average player, specifically by reducing par 5 holes by 1-4 to do it? Or bay adding an extra par 3?
