Following successful spring trips to The Cotswolds,,East Anglia and South Wales this year we are headed for Lancashire for a slightly shorter tour.
It possible that some may meet up on the way on Friday (Delamere Forrest has been mentioned). Please say if you are interested in this.
We have the Dormy house on Friday and Saturday and the experience is worth the travelling alone. Basically they give you the run of the Clubhouse with a wonderful lounge/snooker room upstairs where anything that is opened gets paid for. They have offered us the fantastic winter rate of £25 pppn including a Bacon Roll for Breakfast.
See this thread for a glimpse of a wonderful course and appreciative comments about the Ladies Course.
http://www.golfclubatlas.com/forum/index.php/topic,32146.0.html Friday night is Thai night.
Saturday 14th
AM we have 3 times reserved on the Ladies course from 8.30 am Cost £35pp
PM
This can be decided on the day.
The main course is block booked until 15.06 for a Club Competition which is too late to start. The Professional will know on the day if we can get out earlier (there's a decent chance of this but it can't be guaranteed.)
So playing is optional, but if you start the round and run out of time then there's no refund. Same costs as Sunday.
The alternatives include watching the Six Nations on the TV. Wales vs Ireland followed by England vs Scotland OR the Yank is suggesting a cultural visit/pub crawl in Liverpool (the station is just across the road from the Club). With a little planning you could do as this itinerant golfer did.

Sunday AM
We have 3 tee times booked on the main course from 9.30am. Cost will be calculated as follows but divided equally amongst those playing.
£220 per 4 ball or £70 each for part groups. i.e. somewhere between £55 & £70 each.
The limit is 12 and so far there has been strong interest from the following (mostly) previous attendees.
Silent Paul
Tony M2 aka the Real Tin Man
The Yank aka The (apprentice) Tin Man
Potts (NB This man comes with a Government Health Warning)
Boony
Duncan
Niall
Mark R and Son Ed. (not staying, just playing)
David Davis
I.e. at the moment there is space on a first come, first reserved basis. If there is more interest at this stage I'm sure the Club can accommodate another couple of times.
Finally a word on costs. The Club haven’t asked for a deposit but are doing this on trust. So once you have confirmed as in, you are on the hook to me. Until you confirm, the spot remains open. I will be informing the Club on nos in Mid Jan before I go on holiday. If the weather forces the club to close the course then there will be no charges at all. If you just don't fancy it but the course is open you still have to pay for what you committed to.
Let the fun begin.
