Golf in Vero Beach, FLA
« on: March 01, 2015, 08:50:00 PM »
Anyone familiar with the golf scene in Vero Beach, FL? I know there are at least a couple of very high end private clubs but what about a level or two down? Any good public courses?  Would also appreciate any comments about Vero Beach in general.

Thanks so much!

Sandridge is municipal complex with 36 holes.  I haven't seen it yet, but that's the one at the other end of the price spectrum from Hawk's Nest, Red Stick, Quail Valley, John's Island West, or similar high-end private clubs.

I've heard it is very good and sits on interesting topography.

My wife and I make a trip every summer to the Disney resort at Vero Beach...arguably our favorite weekend of the year. I usually leave the clubs behind, but this year we have an extra day which naturally I've earmarked for golf. The concierge at Disney suggested Sandridge..she also said they have a relationship with Vero Beach CC and PointWest. I'm leaning to Sandridge because I recall it being mentioned favorably here in the past..
