One other thing - Windsong is re-building its bunkers and making a few changes to the course with John Fought in charge of the project.  There will be some construction work taking place while we are there.  It has been on-going for the last month.  I do not expect it to be too disruptive at the time of our visit.  Thus far, construction is taking place on a couple holes at a time with bunkers on a couple of additional holes out of play.  On weekends, I have found that play is not significantly impacted by the work.
 I suspect the changes will be fodder for some lively debates.    I really like some of the changes and am skeptical of others.  I have learned, however, that my judgments about how course changes will actually play are not very reliable so it will be interesting to see how it works.

It looks as though I'll be wending and winding my way northwards through Wisconsin on the road to the Midwest Mashie.  It seems a shame to be passing near to the storied Lawsonia without playing there.  So, are there any GCAers, either participants in the Mashie or just envious onlookers, who might wish to meet up and play at Lawsonia on Wednesday the 23rd.  For that matter, the 24th might be available but with 36 scheduled for this old body on the 25th it might be better to reserve the 24th as a day of rest.
