Ian,

I'd love to hear from someone I've never heard from.

Joe

Would that include me?
I get it, you are mad at the world because you are an adult caddie and few people take you seriously.

Excellent spellers usually lack any vision or common sense.

I know plenty of courses that are in the red, and they are killing it.

Ian -

How about… you?  Have tuned in to your blog over the past couple years (did you say you were going to discontinue it?) and always found some interesting and compelling stuff to read… photos to look at… etc.  And if I’m not mistaken you’ve had a pretty active year both in Canada and in the US?

I’d also nominate Frank Pont and Patrice Boissonnas for a perspective on restorations/renovations/new courses in Europe.  Maybe, Clayton/Ogilvy for what’s happening in Australia.

Ian,

I'd love to hear from someone I've never heard from.

Joe

Ditto,
and hear something I've never heard.

Golf Channel is definitely expanding their architectural involvement.
A  shame they weren't during the boom and maybe less shite would've been pumped out.

I heard an entire discussion on architecture on "Looking Back with Lorne Rubinstein" on Sirius XM yesterday, and Crenshaw often goes there during his show on SiriusXM.
Had a nice mainstream architectural discussion with Jamie Diaz on my show Tuesday and have had Doak and Hanse as guests on in the past, so interest is definitely on the rise.

I don't think Golf Channel is as hip on Golf architecture as some may be thinking....they will do a little but travel is going to be a much bigger deal for them than the design part....

I would like to see DMK in the hope of hearing more discussion of how he arrived at the paradigm shift that took him from the Castle Course to Gamble Sands (and now Sand Valley).  He seems to have been candid and authentic about it thus far, and there is much to be learned from that transformation.

I would also love to see Mike Clayton, in part because I find what he has to say interesting, and in part because I want to find out if he will maintain the same level of high-grade surliness that he brings to the SotG podcast and Twitter.

Randy Thompson, given where he has chosen to ply the trade.

I like the idea of Mike Nuzzo, and Hixson, along with other regionally focused archies and how they have to convince clients they have the chops and ideas to build a value for cost of their services and what it was that they were able to present in proposals that persuaded developers to give them a shot.
No actual golf rounds were ruined or delayed, nor golf rules broken, in the taking of any photographs that may be displayed by the above forum user.

I'd  like to hear Hurdzan if only because he designed my two home courses.  Hawtree would be interesting too - i imagine a debate between  him and Doak over the changes at TOC would make for interesting and entertaining television.

Jeff,

I wondered if anybody else had heard Rubenstein's program on XM.  Did Brad Klein really say that Doak was an idiot savant with Asberger's?!  Lot of road noise on drive from Florida at the time.   ;)

A regionally focused architect gets my vote - there are many who do worthy work that falls under the radar.

Also, how about representation from a female architect? In the US there are a few to choose from.
