Composition and understatement trump HDRs, crooked horizons, silhouettes, and generic sunsets.

High Dynamic Range . None of the photos I saw were HDR, more like photoshopped skies, notice how grainy the skies are.

Thanks to all those that voted for my entry. I certainly didn't expect to win, particularly with a shot from my phone but I'm really glad you all liked it.

For those wondering, it's the 17th hole at Barnbougle Dunes. It was my first time playing that hole, and just happened to get absolutely magical weather and lighting for a great photo. I'll have to stick around here and contribute a bit more now that I've won this  ;D
