"A Comparison of Golf Courses" by W. Girdwood Stewart
« on: November 07, 2014, 02:03:10 PM »
The following article was printed in the Febuary 1898 edition of Golf Magazine (The Official USGA Bulletin).

There are a couple of items of interest in the article, particularly the thoughts on the shots required to play the golf courses noted, including The Old Course.

Enjoy.

Bob --

If the guy went by "Girdwood," can you imagine what that "W." might stand for?

LOL.

Dan -

Even without knowing what the 'W' stands for, that's a lot of name to carry around. Having to go through life introducing yourself as "Girdwood" is a burden no one deserves.

Not surprised he passed at an early age.
