250th Anniversary of 18 holes at TOC
« on: October 09, 2014, 08:05:45 AM »
Sorry if I missed any discussion on it, but seems worth mentioning that last weekend was the 250th anniversary of converting TOC from 22 to 18 holes.  What architectural change has affected how golf is played more than that one?

You would have thought that they could have made that a big discussion / focus at the Dunhill considering it was at TOC last week...

...Even the people who don't really care about architecture would have seen that as a quirky talking point.

I thought Hawtree just built that course within the last couple of years.
