Not that it matters much, but this conceit is suspiciously close to an idea I raised on here about 2 months ago - i.e. in mocking the magazines' mania for rankings and lists, I proposed starting a thread called "Top 10 Courses from the Perspective of Astronauts on Acid".  As I say, I was trying to think of the dumbest...well...nevermind.

Don't you mean "views and clicks"?

Kerry Packer's place in Australia (Ellerston is it?) looks pretty spectacular on google earth, although the resolution is not good.

Not sure a few of these courses really deserve to be on this list, including Augusta, Pine Valley, Sand Hills or TOC.

Old Head does, however. Should be #1.

Interesting, the Sand Hills routing looks a lot like Ballyneal.  I guess that's logical when you have virtually unlimited acres to lay out a course.

How about the contiguous Sebonack-National-Shinnecock-Southampton?

The BBC has a long running series called Coast, where they look for interesting nuggets about a particular bit of coastline. By the third (or so) series they had had to include the Republic of Ireland to keep going and they found a real life US Astronaut to talk about how he loved to play Old Head, a course he could see from space.  As I watched him being interviewed on the course, I was sure I could see jumping sharks in the background.
Let's make GCA grate again!

TV programme 'Coast' - Askernish was profiled in another episode.
