Craig- Yes, there were times 1230ish
Jason Hinez-Highly likley for the pm.

On the subject of a friendly competition. As we speak Sheryl is throwing a better size piece. She can emboss something into the surface. Any thoughts on what she should write? Morrisett Cup, GCA.com trophy. I think she's still wants to use her horsehead handles. Unless someone can come up with a better idea that isn't as she put it "chincy golfball shaped"

also,

Mike Nordstrom, has called me to let me know he'd like to donate a Kuchina Doll as one of the prizes. I said bring it on. We can leave it up the concensus on which should be for the victor's and which for the not so victorious.

I am a 10.9 but promise no to play to it.

Adam:

I'd say any and all prizes are great and will be cherished by the victor, however he/she is determined!

Re the "cup", that is really cool that Sheryl is creating something... can't wait to see it... as for what to emboss on it, I'd say that's up to Messrs. Nuzzo and Morrisset.

TH

ps - I'm obviously out for golf Fri, we don't get in till 10pm.

The Pecos Cup?
The Pecos-Rio Grande Cup?
The Great Divide Cup?
The Trail Cup?
LoE Cup?

Steve- Sheryl is on top of it. She never uses leaded glaze with any item that could be used as a food dish or cup.

The embossing is out. The darn clay dry's very fast around these parts. Imagine a chalice(grail) with pony heads as side handles. I will leave the colors up to Sheryl but her cobolt blue and robins egg are my favorites.

Tom- I think two is the number. A first place, and NOT. ;D

This is becoming epic.  Morrisett's Pony Grail in robin's egg blue!!! 8)  Who shall drink long and deep of the cactus juice and capture the worm in that cup? :P

Do we know who is making the trek to West Texas? I know RJ and Adam are in, and I believe Mike is also planning to come by. Anyone else? Are we set with tee times at TT?

Disclaimer: My course could be precieved as a flat boring course, but the beer is cold and the hot dogs are grilled. ;D
I'll post a short bio about my course soon. Let me know who's coming so I can plan. See ya all soon.

I am planning on coming over with Dick & Adam. I think they have a foursome for TT & Lou & I are trying to secure a second one.

Don- I am having difficulty setting anything up at TT. Mike Nuzzo's plans have changed and may not be making it to Lubbock this time. I figured we'd see Palo Duro on the 17th and head-to Lubbock and golf TT in the P.m. and again in the a.m. on the 18th with Paul and friend. But, Leon Van Rensberg (head-pro)and I are playing phone tag. Can you assist?

George, Did you get our logistics? Since it's four hours to Amarillo from ABQ I suppose DIck and I can wait alittle while at the airport(sunport)for you on Tuesady. Let me know.

Adam, re: Friday p.m. -- my Continental flight arrives in ABQ at 11:07 a.m.  Looks like I could make one of those p.m. times at Twin Warriors without a problem.  Thanks........

Just wanted to throw this forward for those playing Twin Warriors -- one of the more undervalued architects in that part of the country is Gary Panks.

Twin Warriors is a very strong test and has a number of outstanding holes. It is just a notch below Paa-Ko and clearly a bit more below that of Black Mesa. The 10th hole at TW is a fantastic long par-4 that has a wealth of options -- the long par-3 15th and downhill par-5 16th are also first rate holes as well.

Gary Panks has done some underappreciated designs and I would also add Chapparal Pines in Payson, AZ as one of his very best.

Enjoy -- New Mexico is certainly making it's presence felt.

Adam,

American Airlines claims that I will be arriving in ABQ at 1030am.  I am in for twin warriors for 230, I hope I can bring my game with me.  Our club pro has played in the PGA qualifier there and tried to sell me some extra pellets for the cause. >:(

Slight adjustment to the head count.

I'll be posting some info on accomodations in Farmington shortly.  As well as maybe another goody or two.

Cheers

P.S.
The Radisson released the extra rooms we were holding.
Bye Bye.

You might still get in on the rate if you call directly and ask for Dana the sales mgr. or the Golf Club Atlas group.
Last I checked the hotel was sold out.

JB, that really is bad news!  Oh man, I was looking forward to hitting the whitey and downing a few with you once again... oh well, I of all people sure do understand life's realities.  We shall meet again in the spring if not sooner - count on it.

TKP is gonna be in SoCal... the emperor and discussed preliminary plans awhile ago... Rustic/Ojai... it will be well worth the journey without a doubt.

Regarding indexes, I really am not sure what mine is.  I've only played one round in the last 2 months, and 8 total for the entire year :o :o.  Last year I played to a solid 2 or 3, so I guess you can safely mark me as a 5 or so.  No guarantees that i'll play to it.

This will be the last week to finalize plans. So far friday's Twin Warriors roster is as follows: 10:10 Paul H. (2) John V and M. Whitaker (geo Paz?). If there are no others who can make it that early I will cancel the 10;20. I will likely be touring Santa ana in the am and joing those in the pm at Tw. Those confirmed for the Pm. Paul H.(2) Jason H., Bill McBride and Geo Paz.
That is all I have confirmed.

See ya all soon

Is there any proposed gathering place for Friday evening?  Doug and I are playing enroute, but it would be nice to meet up with the group the evening before if possible.

Brad,

For the gents who will be arriving with a little time to play, Baxter and I will be at Marty Sanchez's great 28 (9 hole par 3 course).  Afterwards we'll be congregating in the Radisson bar awaiting the evening gang, Ran included.

Cheers
