BlackWolf Run- River . In fact I played it with Brad a couple years ago. One of the courses that offers multiple angle shot options. Underrated course IMO - I would submit it may be better than WS

I would not disagree with that sentiment

The only potential disagreement I would have would be the attempt to qualify the degree to which the River Course is better than WS. Imo it's much, much better than the Straits. Some of the great second shots of any course I've ever played, and the "middle" nine holes are as good as it gets...

If anything I believe Brad to be loyal. Of course there would be at least two Dye's in the Klein Nine. Besides The Golf Club the River course makes perfect sense. We have six courses, three to go.

Before anyone starts doing the math,  Zero, or in this case 10, counts. Old Macdonald is the hero known as zero.

I believe he recently said that it is his favorite modern of all time. This is all speculation.

Old Macdonald is listed on Golfweek.com as his favorite course in the world.....modern or classic.

I view it that Brad recused himself from (publicly) scoring Old Mac as he served as a consultant on the project.

I don't really know if these are Dr. Klein's top rated courses or not, but I'd guess he'd really like playing these 9 over and over again...

Old MacDonald
Royal Dornoch
Desert Forest
Wintonbury Hills
Cypress Point
Pine Valley
National Golf Links of America
The Old Course

NGLA, Shinny, Fishers Island, Pinehurst 2 , Seminole would be a few IMO .

I was keeping it to courses built after 1960.  Merion is already officially a Klein Nine at 9.5.  Those are too easy.

Remember when Fazio said he would build 200 top 100 courses?  It wouldn't surprise me if there are 50 Klein 9's.

How about the Ocean Course? Has he rated it? It has lots of elements that Brad likes, and it's a Dye.

Hypothetically speaking.

Of course, you should know since it's your hypothesis....

In respect of the world I would hope that there are 50 courses as good as the best 10 built in the US since 1960.  This goes beyond hypothesis and nears fact.

The recent thread on Rock Creek Cattle Company reminds me what a great golf course they have.  Maybe it belongs in the Klein Nine.  Rock Creek is very cool.

My impression is that Brad has generally ranked Coore/Crenshaw designs higher over the last 15-20 years.  He likes We-Ko-Pa Saguaro a lot.  He probably likes Old Sammich, too.

Wake up and smell the coffee Barney, its the 18 hole he didn't like; the totality of the rest of the course was solid. Kapeesh!!!

I don't want to take anyone's comments out of context so here is the thread in question:
