While at Malone (New York) Golf Club, we typically core aerified in late April and early August. Furthermore, under direction from the USGA's Jim Skorulski, the course superintendent would vericut and light topdress every two weeks.

West of Philly - we're scheduled mid August; started on the 18th this year and are fully healed. We used to go later (after labor day) but the holes took forever to heal. It helps with poa control also as it is less likely to germinate when the weather is hotter.
