Those who want a Fazio/Nicklaus/Ress interview--beware what you wish for, for it might come true!  See the Pete Dye interview on this site for elucidation.........

You'd have to know Pete to appreciate that interview.  It was done on paper.  Ran sent him questions and he jotted down answers.  If we got Pete and Ran together with a tape recorder, there might not be enough bandwidth on the internet to support the length and detail of the interview.  Pete's a talk it out kind of guy, not a write his deep thoughts kind of guy...

George Pazin,

Unfortunately for you, my opinion is based on fact, from the horses mouth.

I know that disturbs you, but that's the way it is.

I'd hope that the three architects could contribute to this site simply because they're passionate about golf course architecture and don't simply see it as a business.  Nothing to do with defending their courses, or trying to establish new connections or a fan base.
can't get to heaven with a three chord song

Ted, I almost feel like posting my list to Rees, but then eveyone would say, "Well, see, this is the reason why. This evil person from California!"

In truth, I would love to meet Rees Jones, tell him what I think straight up, telling no lies in hopes that he would do better when he got more sites exactly like Sandpines. I could only hope that he could see it as a pat on the back to do better, and that as someone that was an avid critic of his courses, would enjoy being surprized by a really good course.  (For example, Santa Luz, and how it really isn't all that bad considering the bunkering, housing, routing, and distance between holes.)(I'm not doing a very good job of selling this to any of you am I?)

Ted, I'm sending you my list of questions to Rees as we speak! Those who have seen them like them so far, but they too are critics in their own right.
