Dottie Pepper goes off on Mike Davis for the tee placement on 3 & 13. Wow- good for her to voice her opinion.

The guys on ESPN radio pre-game (started about 10 min ago) are just going off on Mike Davis/USGA on the course setup for the final round.  Bill Kratzert is not mincing any words.

What is their problem with the course setup? Is it the two drivable holes or more than that?

Too easy summarizes Billy's and Dennis Paulson's positions.

Kratzert specifically called it 'tricked up'.

Those guys won a bunch of majors so of course they know.

Here is what I would do: HAVE THE COURSE PLAY AS ROSS INTENDED.

A golf course, especially a 7500 yard masterwork, is ultimately a playground. If Mike Davis has found some exciting new ways to use this course, I say good for him.

Nothing like being a part of the story, rather than stepping aside and letting it unfold due to the merits of the chosen site

A playground for Mike Davis? He seems to view it that way.

3 and 13 are both set up driveable today.

Sergio got his tee ball to within 8' of the pin if NBC is to be believed.

Then it rolled back into the bunker and eventually made 5.

Am I nuts or is setting up a driveable par 3 on dogleg holes the dumbest contrivance in recent memory?
