US Am at Wheaton - 1912 New

The Brooklyn Daily Eagle ran a series of articles between August 14th and 26th, 1912 about the upcoming US Am at Chicago GC.
There are some drawings of every hole along with some interesting text, i.e.- who knew Des Mones Iowa was the "golfingest" city in America?  ;D

There's also a discussion about lost vs OOB balls - a snippet from the accompanying article about Holes 10 & 11:

Jim, these are fantastic.  Chicago GC is such a mysterious place and I love everything about it.  These were a fun read.  Thanks again for posting this.

Is this before or after the Raynor course replaced the original MacDonald course?   The 10th is much longer than today's Short hole, but the 11th is very similar to the par 5 of today, from what I saw at the Walker Cup.

The clubhouse burned down a week before the tournament,  but the show went on.
