Mike (Young),
I was away long enough to have forgotten how much I like Anthony Butler.
Sweeney,
Not sure you want my picture on the internet next to those two. Their home country (let's not name it) must be a printing press for beautiful girls. I'm curious how those B&W shots I took with the Mark II came out. They damn near melted the camera.
As to the original question, my bet is that behind closed doors, Billy Payne and the committee are delighted Tiger is out - and hope he never wins another Green Jacket. They might allow a cursory mention or two in the broadcast - with Jim Nance feigning disappointment - but the idea of a congenitally promiscuous black guy, with a line of notches on his hickory shaft of white women, cannot be a hit in the bowels of the Gentlemen South.
Those guys must have been traumatized between 2000-2002 - a dark-skin three-peat with a Vijay, Tiger, Tiger run. Don't tell me they aren't still just a teensy bit bigoted down there. Billy was born in Athens, and was both undergrad and went to law school at Bulldog U. I have a hard time believing a guy who has never left that little corner of the south is a pillar of racial tolerance.
I read his press release and officially call Bullshit.
