Things have changed enormously. The Golf House Club is, like my home club The Northumberland, a male only club. Like The Northumberland, however, it shares it's clubhouse and the course with Elie and Earlsferry Ladies. Many couples are members of both. The women's club and GHC have many joint events. The sign Rich describes, if it was ever ther, has long gone. The club is now welcoming of women, children and dogs. Indeed, GHC is notable for the number of dogs you see walking with golfers.
