I spoke with George a few years ago. I had landed upon some interesting maps and research on the original Biarritz, and George was the first to call. We had a nice chat and he was such a pleasure to speak with. He will be missed in the circles of golf architecture, but I am certain mostly by his family.

George will be with all of us each & every time we drive through the Macdonald gate at the end of Sebonac Inlet Road. It is a joy that he
got to witness The Walker Cup's return to his beloved National. Rest in peace, George.
