Friday Night Mystery Photos

The first photo is the only one I know the answer for, looking for the course and the hole #.  If no one gets it, I'll put up some hints.  Please don't use "Search Google for this Image" to track it down.



The next two are truly mysteries (the second one was captioned "Golf Links Church St.").  Any ideas of what courses are depicted?

There is a Riverside Park and municipal course in Indy, but I'm having trouble making out the golf hole on the second pic.

The land behind the green in the first photo has very little movement. I'm thinking the midwest somewhere. Illinois? Ohio?

There's also a Riverside park right across the river from Riverside with a course called South Grove, which is a better guess. I'm pretty sure it's not Riverside although it doesn't look like South Grove either. Hard on the river it most closely resembles Coffin, but I don't think it's that either. I think the turn in the river (in the photo) is too sharp for that stretch of White River. So, I really don't know.

Nice work Paul.  OFCC North #16 it is.  Love the open look over the holes behind the green.

The second photo is definitely from Weston, MA (http://westonhistory.org/Extra-HTML-pages/Coburn-Gallery.html).  There are three courses that it could be, Weston GC (1894 - Harland, 1897 - Findlay and 1916 - Ross)  Pine Brook Valley GC (1924 - Stiles and Van Kleek) and Drabbington Lodge GC (1924 - Unknown).  Being able to narrow down the date might help.

I think the third one may be from Janesville, WI.  Possibly the Janesville Municipal course by Harris, which may have been renamed at a later date.
