Live Jupiter, Fl, was  4 handicap, played top 100 US, top 75 World. Great memories, no longer play, 4 back surgeries. I don't miss a lot of things about golf, life is simpler with out it. I miss my 60 degree wedge shots, don't miss nasty weather, icing, back spasms. Last course I played was Augusta

Naples National should be on there, I prefer it over Calusa Pines and a few others on there.

I've played quite a bit in Florida, though not Seminole which I'll assume should be ahead of Doral (and no, not Boca Rio), but I'd say 6th.

The only courses I'd have ahead of it are:

Streamsong (both)
CC of Florida
Johns Island West

I meant to say I've never played Boca Rio.

Considering they just opened, I believe that GD gives Doral 2 ways to  be rated. 1. As a brand new course, thus erasing all the previous votes. 2. As a renovated course, thus keeping all their previous vote, good and bad. This was something we had to decide when Colonial was renovated in 2008.

I believe Mountain Lake Club in Lake Wales should be among the top courses in Florida.

When one speaks of Florida golf you have to break them out into "Best Flat Course" and then the others.  Pine Tree , Indian Creek and The new Doral would 1,2 and 3  or vice versa in my book...in the flat category.

Very recently I played Pine Tree.  Here is how my eyes and camera saw this Dick Wilson course, which I enjoyed very much:

Joe, the photos are great.  It is likely my own technical incompetence, or my laptop, but how do I get the slide show to 'fill the screen', so I don't have to scroll down on every single photo??

The list is actually 30 courses and Naples National is 26th which seems low to me?

Medalist which has been maligned over the years is very low, 29th?  I haven't played the new Doral but by the looks of it, I would play Medalist 9-1 over Doral.

''27. Golden Ocala G. & Equestrian C., Ocala''

I am pretty sure it is a replica course, does copying Amen corner get you into the top 30?  Seems pretty lame.

Joe,

GREAT photo essay.

I just showed it to my son.

In all the years I've been playing Pine Tree, I never saw one snake, until your photo of # 13.

Henceforth, I shall be more vigilant.

I love the Ross memorial in N Michigan, but I don't think it is fair to put it in the top 30 of the Michigan list, put that list is just as bad as Florida.

I'm kind of surprised that Bay Hill isn't anywhere on that list.

I'm surprised Timuquana in Jax isn't on this list.

Also, how about Sawgrass CC?

Keith,

In the software I use to present my albums, it isn't really possible to get a 'fill the screen' mode.  I format the pictures very wide, hoping many people view them on a big monitor.

Naples National should be on there, I prefer it over Calusa Pines and a few others on there.

This interests me as the two are often compared.  Did you play them on the same trip or different trips?  I wonder how they compare/contrast when played back-to-back.  What was it about Naples National you preferred to Calusa?  Is NN your favorite course you've played in Naples?
I get it, you are mad at the world because you are an adult caddie and few people take you seriously.

Excellent spellers usually lack any vision or common sense.

I know plenty of courses that are in the red, and they are killing it.
