The "Otis" Field Club - Pittsburgh Pa., AKA...

...Pittsburgh Field Club.  ;D

I've always thought of Pittsburgh as a city that produced a hardy breed of people who were as strong as the steel produced in their mills.

But I'm reconsidering it after reading this:

Kirtland CC, on the east side of Cleveland, also has a rail car to lift walkers up the very steep hill from 17 green to 18 tee.  I think it's a pretty cool feature, and it definitely saves walkers a very demanding and lengthy walk up and around the hill into which 17 green is built.

Industry Hills outside of LA has an elevator that carries the cart up the hill after the 9th on the Ike and 19th on the Babe. Pretty wild. And of course Bel-Air has the elevator between 9 and 10 that goes from the tunnel up into the clubhouse.

Not to be outdone, the Kawana Fuji course has an escalator to get to the 5th tee.

One might expect this in CA., but not in PA. or OH.  ;)
