Search has to be done from the general Golf Course Architecture page, otherwise you only get search results for the page you are on.

Is it worth shipping your clubs even if you are flying through PDX with no connections?

Tom If you have time I would recommend driving down the coastline truly spectacular.I also played Sandpines in Florence on the way ,good warm up course not very difficult and decent course. Also I would highly suggest a caddy for overall experience at Bandon at least on first round of each course. Great fish tacos at marina in Bandon. Good Luck

Thanks everyone for the great and helpful insights!  I really do appreciate everyone taking the time to post them.  (I had not had much luck getting relevant results with the search function, even though I tried).

IMO the most effective way to search the GCA discussion group is to use Google Advanced Search and specify golfclubatlas.com as the domain to search.

Alloro Wine Bar and Restaurant is excellent. Right in downtown Bandon. I eat there on every trip. Owner/Chef is from Italy and he can cook.
“Bandon Dunes is like Chamonix for skiers or the
North Shore of Oahu for surfers,” Rogers said. “It is
where those who really care end up.”
