I can only say Ted Ray and Harry Vardon, the other three I don't know. Prestwick maybe the 1914 Open championship.
Agreed on Ray and Vardon, might that be Ouimet on the right? The Country Club?

is that a hill/mtn. in the right background?Gleneagles?
The subject says it all!And this picture is really worth more than a thousand words. More on that later.
I'm guessing this was taken as part of the Vardon/Ray tour of 1913 or their later tour in 1920.Any chance A.W. is in this photo and it was taken at Shawnee?
Noe, is the middle gent, John McDermott?
That is McDermott on the right. This is taken at Shawnee CC after McDermott's victory in the Shawnee Open. Tillinhast told the story of his verbal faux pas. I forget the specifics but it is in Tales From the Links. Quote from: Joe Bausch on January 09, 2014, 11:23:25 AMThe subject says it all!And this picture is really worth more than a thousand words.
