Mucci, you are such a tease!

Where is that course with three consecutive par 3's?

Bill,

I was wondering when someone would ask.

Spring Brook just outside of Morristown, NJ.

#'s 9, 10 and 11, all good holes

Town and Country - St. Paul, MN - 15, 16 and 17.

Jason,

Thanks.

I'll Google Earth it as I'm curious to see how they routed the course with that configuration of three consecutive par 5's

Here is the course flyover for Town & Country.  It looks like all three holes are on top of the hill

And here is Spring Brook.  This tour is cool because all of the trees are in 3-D as well.

Bill

There's a club with a short 4963-yard course near me called Clober GC (in Milngavie, to the north west of Glasgow) which plays to a par of 66.

There's a run of three par threes very early on in a round at holes 3, 4 and 5. On the back nine, it has back-to-back par threes at holes 12 & 13 AND 15 & 16!

I don't know the exact acreage of the property but the fairways are laid out on what looks to be a very tight parcel of land.

I am surprised the Painswickians haven't spoken up.  It has three 3s in a row and jeepers they couldn't be much different.  Okay, Painswick has  lot of par 3s, but I think it has one of the best sets of 3s I have experience with.  I can't imagine any course comparing three 3s in row to taht of 5-7 at Painswick.

My old club, Sutton Coldfield has three consecutive par 5s.

The Confidential Guide lists some others, Sutton however isn't on that list even though TD reviews it in the main text.

John,

What do you mean they are all on top of the hill? Do you mean the bluff?

Yeah,  it looks like all three par 5's are played from the highest point on the property,  I wonder if fatigue is ever a factor when playing those holes,  since they are near the end of the round, and they look like they all play uphill to some extent.  Maybe that's what happened to Lehman.

The holes are all pretty easy to walk.
